Privacy policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Max Harte respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected through this website and Max Harte's reader email list, branded the TSU Roster, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Reader roster and email

When you join the TSU Roster, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. We use this information to send book news, cover reveals, release updates, and related author communications. Subscription, delivery, and engagement information may also be processed to operate and improve those emails.

Roster membership uses double opt-in. After submitting the form, you must confirm through the email sent to you before receiving reader communications. You may unsubscribe at any time through the link in every email.

Email service provider

We use Kit, Inc. to provide the signup form, manage subscriber records, and deliver email. Information submitted through the roster form is transmitted to and processed by Kit on our behalf. Learn more in Kit's privacy policyand data processing addendum.

Legal basis and retention

We process roster information with your consent. We retain it while you remain subscribed and as reasonably necessary to maintain suppression records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may withdraw consent by unsubscribing.

Technical information

The site’s hosting provider may process standard technical data—such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs—to deliver, secure, and maintain the website.

Spotify soundtrack player

The reader soundtrack page includes an optional player provided by Spotify. The Spotify player is not loaded until you choose to load it. After you do, your browser connects directly to Spotify, which may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Spotify processes that information under its privacy policy and cookie policy. You can read the soundtrack’s editorial content without loading the player, and this website does not receive your Spotify credentials or Spotify listening history.

External links

This site links to Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Kit, and other external services. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information when you visit them.

Your choices

To ask about, correct, or request deletion of roster information, email max@maxharte.com. You may also use the unsubscribe or profile link included in each email.

Updates

This policy may be updated as the website and reader program evolve. The effective date above will change when material revisions are published.
